ABOUT IIDEX
IIDEX 2024 organized by the Fakulti Teknologi dan Kejuruteraan Elektronik dan Komputer (FTKEK) together with Fakulti Teknologi dan Kejuruteraan Elektrik (FTKEK), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), is a continuation of the successful organization of previous IDEXs held. IDEX has been organized since 2014; followed by the 9th edition of iIDEX 2023 and now with iIDEX2024.
Every year, students in the final year of the faculty will register for the Undergraduate Project subject, which is a mandatory requirement for all Engineering Technology's students for the award of a bachelor's degree. Referring to PSM's past achievements, several quality PSM projects have been successfully competed at higher-level competitions. In addition, there are also successful projects producing indexed journals.
Therefore, the Innovation and Competition Committee aims for Engineering Technology's students to produce more quality and worthy of competition at the national level projects while helping to increase the number of publications for the faculty.
Intending to foster a culture of research and innovation in society, iIDEX2024 is now accessible to all institutions of higher learning, research centres, colleges, and schools. IIDEX's goal is to inspire academics and students to produce research-based products that are original, significant, and valuable from a business standpoint.
Industry and community involvement results in strategic alliances and offer insight on the likelihood of a product's commercialization. In addition, the products' quality will rise due to the industry-university-community partnership, which will also speed up the commercialization process.
Through iIDEX2024, UTeM provides opportunities and continues stimulating research and innovation activities in an organized and strategic manner.
